I was looking for ways to stop Cortana from working during my Windows 11 setup. I learned that even when turned off, it might still gather data, which isn’t ideal for me. After checking more details, I found reports of bugs and crashes caused by the app in the past. Since I recently had a corrupted user profile on my previous system, I’m concerned about similar problems. I’m trying to find the most effective methods to disable Cortana completely without removing it.

It's likely to create issues later on. It's best to disregard it or delete it.
Head to System Components and eliminate it there. That's the recommended approach.
Also, take out any other unwanted components during that process.

I considered removing it, but Microsoft still incorporates her voice feature in some recent updates and new functionalities. It’s unclear if this would lead to more issues later, especially if the old app is unavailable. Just wanted to avoid any potential problems.

you have no idea how they’ll act in the future. all you can do is adjust what’s available now, and once the updates happen and everything shifts, adapt accordingly. they’re always altering dependencies, tweaking settings, reinstalling files, and so on. nobody knows what the next step will be. that’s part of the challenge of making changes. try to understand it now and then reset to see how it evolves later.
