I recently purchased a used motherboard (gygabite a320m-s2h) but my processor is still inactive. I want to check the board but don’t have a processor. I have RAM, a graphics card, power supply, and everything else except the CPU. I connected the speaker, power supply, and everything else (except the processor), but when I press the power button nothing happens—no lights, no beeps. Is this normal? Could the board be faulty? When I used older boards, they would sometimes give me beeps. Am I being scammed? Can someone with more experience confirm if this is typical for my model? Also, does your board usually emit light or beeps when tested without the processor connected?

Wait for the CPU to arrive. You require it to evaluate the board.

Yes, the PSU is on. I attempted the screwdriver trick and even tried using the power button, but nothing works—seems like nothing is connected. You mentioned you have the same board; did your board power on without the CPU?

Sure, I got that. It seems you managed to activate it without using RAM, relying instead on the CPU.

Sure, I can help with that. Let me check if the system is powered on without using the CPU.

Reach out to a nearby independent computer store. Inquire about their pricing for CPU testing to check if the system will boot; avoid any repair or troubleshooting attempts.

It doesn't always mean the board will power on or boot up just because lights come on and the PSU is connected. I've seen boards that light up but won't show anything on a screen. Just sit it out or try getting a CPU elsewhere.
