How to switch the connected GPU to your laptop screen without using 144hz, but keeping the advertised rate at 144hz
Hi everyone,
I purchased a new laptop, the HP Victus 16-350nd.
When adjusting the refresh rate, I only see options at 40 and 60 hz. The device is supposed to run at 144hz.
I suspect the issue might be related to my laptop screen being connected to the AMD integrated graphics, though I'm not sure.
Any advice would be appreciated.

Is that the correct model? Its description doesn't reference a 144 Hz display at all. Other models include 144 Hz screens, and some even have 165 Hz displays, but this one doesn't.
I looked it up on this (Dutch) site.

you'll need to press "beeldscherm" for monitor specifications.
But that's a shop's requirement - and those can and often are incorrect. My link is the manufacturer's spec, which doesn't mention 144 Hz at all.
It seems there might have been confusion about the advertised specifications. All Dutch websites that promote the laptop claim it runs at 144hz.
