I recently got Warframe on Steam and my brother wants to try it too. My internet isn’t great, so I’d rather hand him the game than let him download it. Is there a way to do this? Does he need to install the game himself? Since it’s free to play, I think giving it directly is fine. EDIT: I’ve placed it on his PC and let Steam find it, but it still just downloads the game.

Transfer the game to a flash drive and insert it into his computer. Then allow Steam to install it—it should function properly.

I gave it a shot, but Steam keeps trying to reload the game (sorry, I should have mentioned this).

Are you certain it's saved in the Steam folder?

Make sure to save the file if it's being accessed on another device.

I thought I’d mention that I wasn’t sure about assigning free-to-play titles with Steam since it tags them as ID when they download, indicating they’re in the library. But it looks like you and the team have already figured it out.

Begin the download on his machine. Halt it once the folder layout is set up and terminate Steam. Transfer all contents from your directory to his. Launch Steam again.
