Hello. There seems to be no straightforward method to save edited .mp4 files in VirtualDub outside of Full Processing mode. You might need to explore other options.

You are limited to saving mp4 files without re-encoding them if you trim special frames, the i-frames containing full information for that video segment. Cutting elsewhere or applying filters will require re-encoding that portion. Video compression picture types - Wikipedia
