Hello everyone, I'm facing an issue with my PC. It seems like a virus might be present, but after launching the Windows logo, the screen turns black except for the cursor. I can't access the login screen to scan for threats, and it appears the virus may have stopped background processes. Would you mind if I consider formatting the system?

Use a system restore to revert your setup (without changing personal data). Start by booting from the Windows installation media (USB or disk). When prompted, locate the "Install Now" button and tap on it. At the bottom left, choose "Repair your computer." Select the option for System Restore and follow the instructions in the wizard.

Attempt the system recovery from the installation disc. It could be harmless, just a corrupted file.

Log in to safe mode. Review your user profile's appdata folder. There are three folders: local, localLow, and roaming. The virus is likely in the local folder. Search for unusual named files and remove them.
