I performed an OC on my CPU a few months ago and now I need a lower-grade motherboard that doesn’t support it. How should I reset it back to 3.4Ghz? OC to 3.7Ghz. I have an i7 2600k with UEFI BIOS, Ga-Z77x-D3H. I don’t recall the original OC process, so I’m not sure how to proceed.

The overclock configurations are stored on the motherboard.
Modifying the CPU will prevent the overclock from persisting when the motherboard is changed.
To prepare an old motherboard for a new owner, disconnect the CMOS battery for 30 seconds and then reinsert it.
