You're experiencing issues with VSync in GTA V. When it's enabled, you get around 30-40 FPS, especially in stores, and it drops to 30 FPS when you enter them. When VSync is off, screen tearing becomes a problem. Your specs are an I3 4150 with 8GB RAM and R9 280X at 1140 clock speed. To reduce screen tearing without VSync, you might try adjusting your graphics settings, lowering the resolution, or using a lower refresh rate.

Consider reducing the settings and enabling VSync. Alternatively, if it bothers you, you might want to explore a free sync monitor.

Almost everything is working fine... With my R9 280X and good i3, I didn’t need to adjust the settings... Sorry.

In Battlefield 4 I usually achieve around 90 fps at Ultra with VSync enabled, dropping to about 30. The best fix is switching to the high/custom preset for more consistent performance.

Reduce the settings and turn on a frame cap at 60 fps. I'm running at high with a 7970 ghz, but it looks like your CPU is causing a bottleneck.

Is MSAA active? I quit using MSAA and opted for FXAA, though it looks less sharp but has a much smaller performance impact compared to MSAA.

Choose a 144Hz monitor or adjust your settings further. The options continue.

Only texture quality is set to High, water quality remains High, and other settings stay at Normal. It’s confusing since everyone using R9 280X and I3 is achieving better FPS, and my drivers are current.
