I have a9700k on an asus z390e motherboard. My CPU is currently running at 5000mhz, all cores at 80-90 degrees F. Setting it to 1.270v worked fine the first time. I’ve been told I might have a decent chip, anyone think I could go higher without big problems? I’m not sure what to change next if I try to overclock further.

I would attempt to run realbench for eight hours to check its stability. It seems there’s no stability at 1.27.

You could test the Intel CPU auto overclock performance maximizer app. Check out the review here: Let me know what you experience.

I did not run intel performer because it felt like I’d need to reverse all the changes I made to overclock my system. I downloaded and ran a real benchmark, and after eight hours I got a lot of result hash matches on one screen. The temperatures on my CPU reached 171 at their peak. I let it run overnight; the screen stayed active and I didn’t see any blue screen issues. I performed a benchmark test, and the overall system score was 197629. I’m not sure if this really matters, but thank you both for your responses. I tried uploading it to ASUS or something similar, but I couldn’t figure out how to load it. Also, I could only use 8 gigabytes of RAM because 16 was a page limit error.

That's a great chip! Congrats, I tend to get the ones that require more voltage.
