How to properly install Windows on a new SSD.
the gpu is preventing the ssd closet port from connecting to the cpu
1. Power off
2. Take out the GPU
3. Disconnect the old SSD
4. Put in the new SSD
5. Put in the GPU
6. Set up the OS
Or, hold off on step 5 until later. Either option is fine.
And after that remove the gpu
(assuming I’m too scared to run the pc without a gpu connected even though I know it’s fine 😀)
Insert the old ssd, install the gpu, and power system right?
Also, any tips for optimizing gaming performance during Windows installation?
Do not reattach the previous SSD until the operating system is fully operational on the new device.
After ensuring both SSDs are active and Windows is installed on the newer one, navigate to Disk Management, remove all partitions from the previous drive, then set up a fresh partition and format it.
