I’ve recently finalized my gaming PC configuration, more or less. It took some time, but aside from a new microphone (I’m considering the Yeti), I'm pretty much finished.

I replaced my previous ASUS 1080p, 60Hz TN 27" monitor with a 1440p, 144hz, 32”, curved Freesync MSI display. I also exchanged my old desk chair for a Titan model and switched from the Arctis 3 to Sennheiser 599 headphones. I upgraded my processor from Intel to AMD, now utilizing a Ryzen 2600x, MSI Gaming Pro motherboard, 32GB of RAM, a 1TB Samsung SSD PCI, and a 1080GTX graphics card.

Essentially, I’ve been working on completely overhauling my setup for the past year.

Now that everything is in place, I'm considering what to play. I tend to distrust recommendations from “PCGamer” and want to utilize my new hardware and accessories fully. I currently enjoy Overwatch and FFXIV. Previously, I was planning on trying Division 2, but it frequently crashes even during testing runs, and I’m not inclined to spend time resolving that issue. Luckily, it was a free game.

I’m thinking about Monster Hunter World and Divinity Original Sin 2, but would appreciate further input from others. I’m currently operating on a tight budget.

Far Cry 4/Primal, Far Cry 5, and New Dawn.
Grand Theft Auto V.
Doom (2016).
Ghost Recon Wildlands.
Dying Light.
Star Wars Battlefront II.
Less intensive titles that still provide excellent 1440p performance.
Half-Life 2 and its sequels.
Portal 1 & 2.
Left 4 Dead 2 – with access to maps from the initial release, eliminating the need for the original game.
Plus, Duke Nukem 20th Anniversary!

My apologies for this belated response. I've personally experienced and enjoyed many of these games, though Dying Light stands out as a particularly appealing and new experience for me. However, Wildlands left me with somewhat ambivalent feelings from my previous console playthroughs. Duke Nukem brought to mind Dusk, which could be a worthwhile suggestion. Yes, I’m likely going to focus on just one game for a while – I need to be careful with my spending.

Absolutely, *Dying Light* is a thrilling experience when combat intensifies. The gameplay and movement are remarkably smooth and natural, avoiding any feeling of stiffness. If you enjoy it, the downloadable content is equally impressive and significantly extends an already substantial game, introducing new narratives and allowing you to seamlessly continue your progress. You can easily switch between the main game and the DLC at any time, as they are intricately linked together. Furthermore, it's an open-world title that encourages exploration and resource gathering to improve your gear.
