hello i understand it's safe to overclock with z790 boards, mine is apex and it uses different pcie/dmi voltages. regarding usb, does it have its own separate voltage requirements? i'm currently running 140bclk without turbo boost, speedshift, hyperthreading, and the 13900k.

usb uses pci frequency, why not increase the multiplier? it's simpler than boosting the bclk. for a better bclk overclock, lower ram frequency and cpu multiplier are needed. for the 13900k, i suggest setting all p cores to max turbo at 5.8ghz. if you want more threads for tasks like rendering or compiling, try boosting the e core to 5ghz (or higher until the system crashes). don't disable c state, speed step, speed shift—it keeps the cpu more efficient. without bclk overclock, you can use xmp auto overclock ram and enable features like speed step, c state, volt opti, speed shift, erp. use prime95 to test in a few minutes and ensure stability.
