How to overclock a AMD FX-8350?
Is it okay if my computer appears to run extremely quickly? It seems like it had a doubled speed, but the hardware monitor still displays 900 MHz. Edit: It looked very fast at 4.4 and 4.5, however when I set it to 4.6 it failed to boot. So I returned to 4.5, and now Windows is showing normal speed with 4500 MHz. Now, prime 95 froze my PC.
You attempted the initial overclock and achieved 900mhz by lowering the multiplier to 4.5. Adjusting the clock to 22x200mhz gives 4.4ghz. To reach 4.5ghz, you’d need a multiplier of 22.5x200mhz, which would also yield 4.5ghz. It seems this feature could be labeled something like AMD Turbo Core Feature. Regarding the CPU increase values, it appears to add 0.010000 volts, and adding this adjustment caused Prime95 to freeze your PC.
Prime95 shouldn't cause your PC to freeze. You either fail the test or encounter a BSOD. Consider lowering it to 4.4Ghz, then run Prime95 and perform a Blend test only. Are you keeping an eye on the temperatures? Could you take a screenshot of your HWmonitor display? I wouldn't adjust the Vcore yet; we need to determine why your PC is freezing. Also, download CPU-Z and capture a screenshot of it.
Prime95 shouldn't cause your PC to freeze. You either pass the test or encounter a BSOD. Are your temperatures under control? Can you share a screenshot of HWmonitor? I won’t adjust the Vcore just yet; we need to figure out why your system is freezing. Don’t worry, I believe I’ve stabilized it—just a bit of heat since my whole setup is three years old. Thanks a lot for the assistance. My CPU is running at 4.5 ghz with 1.4 volts, 52 degrees idle and about 70 degrees during games. Also, do you know what fan speed to set?

No problem, man! I also got the Fx-8320 at 4.4ghz with a 1.38vcore—it ran smoothly for two hours straight.
But that 70°C is quite high for that CPU; it shouldn’t exceed 62°C or it will throttle and shut down quickly.
Are you not using a stock cooler? I saw the water cooler, but is there any water inside? Lol, it’s way too hot for that CPU if you’re actually using water cooling.
