You have an FX 6300 BE with an ATX M5A97 R 2.0 motherboard, aiming to clock it at 4.0GHz. You also have a Hyper-212 EVO and 8GB RAM at 1066MHz. This setup is suitable for overclocking to the desired frequency.

Adjust multiplier gradually while monitoring stability. Increase voltage step by step, checking temperatures at each change.

you want to adjust this in bios and are new to cpu oc. you had it at a 4.5 and it kept crashing on apex legends even though it worked before. you need a stable 4.5 oc for your asus m5a97 r2.0 amd fx 6300 with the 3.5ghz black edition 8 gb ocz, 1066mhz gtx 770 and 2gb ram.
