During installation, click the setup button and choose Advanced/Custom. All options are available except Chrome, which is linked to Google. This lets you pick the installation drive. In my setup, I use two partitions: C for Windows and everything related, and D:\ for files and programs. This way, if I need to reinstall Windows later, I can do it quickly without worrying about backups, and most applications will restart and adjust themselves without needing a full reinstall.
