Certain apps don’t let you pick installation spots, and you don’t want unwanted software on your SSD. You need a clean way to add them to your HDD properly.

Dirty files >> The computer operates using a single huge program. Makes sense, you can figure out the installation spot and link it to another drive.

There’s no option to relocate the app files and notify Windows it’s installed there now? The fix is working!

Yes, there is, but it usually involves lengthy steps and frequent registry changes. It might be wiser to create a shortcut instead, to prevent complications in the registry.

Launch the app with the .exe file. Usually it functions well. Files in %appdata% stay intact, though they rarely consume much space.

It doesn't refresh the Windows extension link, and usually files must interact with other files. They rely on %appinstalldir%, which remains unchanged after setup. This isn't a very effective approach.

It was easy to update the registry myself. I’ve handled it before, though rarely. Most applications let you choose a different installation location, so very few lock me in one place.
