Hey there. I posted some questions before but they got mixed up in a wrong place. So, for real, I have an i5 9600k processor and I'm buying an Asus motherboard with a Z390 chipset. In fact, the specific model doesn't matter to my questions; everything is pretty much similar here. Next, I want to pick RAM, but on the official Intel site it says that this CPU only works with 2666 Mhz memory (which gives a bandwidth of 41.6 Gb/s). Deep in my thoughts, I found out that processors with a "k" in their name paired with a Z chipset board have the power to overclock RAM. The questions are like these: 1) If I buy 3200 Mhz memory - will I have to mess with the processor when using XMP profiles? Like increase BCLK? Or boost VCCIO and/or VCCSA? Something else? And is it really necessary, if yes? 2) The second question follows from the first. If manipulation has to happen, will that raise the CPU bandwidth so the processor can handle over 41.6 Gb/s? After all, if not, what's the point of memory above 2666 Mhz? Thanks to everyone who helps me figure this out.
