To my knowledge, the TWAIN serves as the driver for the scanner, and I'm attempting to install the one provided by Ricoh from their website.

As I see it, this driver is intended for the printer and related utilities.

As mentioned earlier, after multiple tries, I opted for a "clean" hdd with only Windows10 installed, ensuring no remnants from prior printer setups remain. The result was consistent.

The PCL6 is exclusive to HP's Printer Control Language and lacks the USB driver found in the TWAIN driver. It's ultimately up to you whether you're willing to spend your money.
