How to link my laser printer with my computer?
Once I resolved the earlier problem with my Ricoh SP330SFN Laser Printer, I bought a toner cartridge with the correct chip. Now I can't connect it to my Windows 10 PC. Because it's a second-hand printer, I don’t have the original installation CD, so I downloaded the driver from Ricoh’s website. After installing it, the printer shows up in "printers and devices" as a different model—specifically "Ricoh M320FB," with a note saying the "driver is unavailable." I attempted to install it on another PC, but the outcome was the same. It’s unusual since this isn’t the first printer I’ve installed and I haven’t had such installation issues before. I would appreciate any guidance or advice on getting it working.
The link uses USB (I hesitated to attempt a more complex approach) and the associated driver is: z96292L1a.
use the driver for the M320FB

I've already tested the "Drivers and Utilities" but got the same outcome. I'll attempt the M320FB next.
I wonder why the printer shows up as another model in "printers and devices"?
Typically, the serial number is found there

There's a "trick" to this. In the "normal" installation process that uses driver installer software from a CD with the printer you have to follow a particular sequence. Without that CD you normally need the installer tool by download. For your case using a USB connection it is important WHEN to connect the printer to the computer and turn it on. The first stages of installation involve installing the driver software. ONLY when the screen tells you to do so do you actually connect the USB cable from printer to computer port and turn on the printer. Then you let the software proceed to find the printer.
If you did not do it this way, turn the printer off and DISconnect its USB cable. UNinstall the printer driver and verify in Device Manger that the printer has been removed. Now re-run the installation software tool, ensuring that you tell it you are using a wired connection, and that it is USB. Follow the on-screen instructions on WHEN to connect and turn on the printer.
I would like to confirm that I followed your instructions closely, as described. The printer wasn’t connected until I was told to do so on the PC screen. However, I have a question about the "installer tool" you mentioned—does it refer to the files containing the driver for Ricoh support, which can be downloaded from there? As I’ve explained, I followed that process, or perhaps I missed something. What I haven’t done is search for and remove any drivers from the device manager; I only removed the printer icon labeled M320FB from the "printers and devices" list.
