I’ve checked your system and noticed the performance has dropped since the fall. It might be related to limited RAM or storage usage. To confirm if memory is the issue, you can open Task Manager, look at the RAM usage, and see if it’s consistently high. Running a disk cleanup or freeing up space on your desktop could help. If the problem persists, consider upgrading RAM or switching to a more stable device for classwork.

Launch Task Manager and observe which processes consume the most resources when your computer becomes sluggish.

There are numerous tools that indicate usage statistics, and the Task Manager is a solid option because it’s built into Windows. When you open all your school applications, do any remain at full capacity?

It generally reaches about 70% utilization, yet you notice significant committed memory usage—perhaps 8 to 11 GB out of a total 13 GB.

It seems you might need additional storage in that scenario.

Well since it’s a surface, ram isn’t upgradeable. I am trying to figure out if it’s something I need or just want to upgrade. But like when I open tabs on the browser, it Can be slow like an ssd.

I thought I’d share the latest status, but it turned out to be thermal throttling. Checked the clock speed details in the hardware info, and it was dropping below 1GHz when it should have been running faster. Haha xD
