You're having trouble with Windows 7 installation on your Gigabyte Z390 Aorus Pro (non-WiFi) motherboard. The issue starts after installing Windows 7, where you need to enter country and language settings, but the mouse stops working during setup. You've tried using the Windows 7 image updater to install drivers, yet the mouse remains unresponsive in the setup window. Need advice on resolving this.

Based on the device you have, you can always use a ps/2 mouse or another USB mouse during installation. You might also try an all-in-one keyboard mouse combo. If needed, navigate through the menu using your keyboard's tab function to reach different options. Also review BIOS settings: EHCI/USB 2.0 should be turned off, while XHCI/USB 3.0 should be enabled. Legacy USB should be disabled. Check if USB 2 support is activated—enable EHCI/USB 2.0 or ensure USB 3.0 can be switched on.

The setup menu can be accessed using the keyboard just like in any standard Windows setup. Make sure to use USB 2.0 ports, and note that Windows 7 does not include 3.0 support by default.
