hello,bro
i bought an asus h81m-d budget motherboard with intel g3258 processor and have some doubts about overclocking it to at least 3.2ghz to 3.6ghz using the stock cooler. could you walk me through the steps? i’m a bit confused and keep trying but can’t get it to work. thanks!

It's quite straightforward. I've increased both of my G3258s to 4.2 and 4.5Ghz using the stock cooler. You'll need to restart your computer and press F2 or DEL to enter UEFI. It would be useful if you could share some screen captures of what you're doing, so we can review it together. You should also switch to Advanced Mode, adjust the CPU Multiplier from 32 to 36 manually, and save before rebooting.

It's quite straightforward. I've boosted both of my G3258s to 4.2 and 4.5Ghz using the stock cooler. You'll need to restart your PC and use F2 or the DEL key to enter UEFI. Do you know how to share screen captures of these steps? It would be useful if we could review what you're doing. Please let me know what CPU you're using so I can suggest the correct voltage.

Keep it at stock. You might reach 3.8Ghz without altering the voltage. Remember the voltage level at stock, too, so you understand your starting point.

The stock cooler provides enough cooling for overclocking on this setup or any other board. That's why you mention it. What operating system are you running?
