How to install both windows 10 pro and enterprise
You’re on Windows 10 Pro with a valid license. You got the free 90-day trial ISO for Windows 10 Enterprise and tried to install it using setup.exe, selecting "Get Updates." Now you’re stuck because the prompt says you can only choose "Nothing" when asked what to keep, warning that your current installation won’t work. You want both versions to stay completely separate—so if you don’t want Enterprise, you can simply delete one with a click without impacting your Pro setup at all.
You can always launch it via a VM such as VMware, and there are good reasons to choose enterprise options. https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/windowsf...ss/compare You might want the additional capabilities it offers.
VM isn't functioning properly for me. I need it set up as my primary system to explore enterprise-only features. It would help if I kept using the VM for now and decide later whether to switch to enterprise.
Using a Windows 10 Pro license allows you to deploy Hyper-V, enabling VM creation. You can then install Windows 10 Enterprise on that VM. To run it as the primary system, allocate additional resources and switch to RDP instead of the hyper-V connection. https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/virtual...le-hyper-v
Boot from an additional drive or partition on the primary disk.
The aim is to preserve my existing information while moving from Pro to Enterprise. I can always rely on Acronis to restore everything to the original state, but during the installation of Enterprise I want to maintain all data.
