How to increase the speed of an Intel i5-10600K to 5 GHz
Hello.
My setup includes a Strix Z490-I motherboard, an i5-10600K processor, a 750W power supply, a NZXT X53 Kraken liquid cooler, and Kingston Predator 2x8 GB 3000 MHz RAM.
I aim to overclock the CPU to 5 GHz without exceeding it.
What BIOS adjustments should I make?
Loads of guides in the net. E.g this one,

Though, do note that due to silicone lottery, even if you follow the guide to the letter, there is 0 guarantee that you get 5 GHz out of your CPU.

Other sources indicate.
5.0GHz is a solid target.
It makes sense if you need to run applications that use multiple threads effectively.
FOR GAMING, taking advantage of turbo settings can enhance the speed of individual cores beyond standard limits.
Games perform optimally when they rely on single-threaded operations.
I experienced a significant boost in game performance after an all-core overclock. Most titles now handle 6 or more cores well. The time spent on the CPU also improved noticeably. A 10600k reached 4.80 GHz, and the configurations I shared would enhance both multi-threaded and single-threaded speeds. At 5.1GHz it operates at 2 cores and 5.0GHz at 6 cores with AVX-1 enabled. Essentially, an overclocked 10600k at 5.1GHz across all cores performs similarly to a stock 10900k in games.
