this is my initial overclocking project, completely new to this.
specs:
ryzen 5 1600af 3.2 (stock/not overclocked)
mb450 msi tomahawk max
crucial 8g ddr4 2666 (no xmp support in mb bios, cheap green model, nothing advanced)
rx 570 4g
just purchased this ryan bundle, i understand it's meant for overclocking but i'm concerned about damaging it.
i don't have any extra coolers (just a budget tower with two big fans and one small).
the motherboard has an overclock option but i'm unsure how to use it.
i just hope it reaches around 3000, would that be safe? the parts are expensive in my area, so i'm careful.
thanks ahead!

It is better to perform the task in BIOS and run a memory check. With Windows Med this can be done via https://www.memtest86.com/download.htm

You might want to consider this resource
https://www.techpowerup.com/download/ryz...alculator/
However, I question whether the memory is sufficient for optimization, since if it were, they would likely market it as faster and more expensive.

It doesn't appear on the memory type list! But isn't Crucial a well-known RAM brand?

I attempted Ryzen master, achieved 1500(3000) and cl 16 with voltage unchanged, then ran its test and it confirmed success. Should I retain the Ryzen master profile? Is it preferable to use the BIOS "try it!" option or is it not worth trying?

Great progress so far, especially with the lower Cl; it really aids Ryzen quite a lot. Of course, it's safe, but it's hard to quantify exactly how much it benefits you alone. "Try it" is mainly a compatibility feature.

It was quite stable, with no errors during normal use. Perhaps a 3D stress test would reveal its true stability? How long should I run it to be sure it’s safe?
Ryzen Master test lasted about a minute; the CPU temperature reached 63°C at the end, but it didn’t provide much detail on RAM. Would you say switching from BIOS to just speed and clock settings (like in Ryzen Master) would be better?

You should keep it as is, it looks good. It’s fine to proceed.

There are no issues, it will be visible during the initial scan.
