How to increase performance of Intel HD Graphics 2500 in BIOS?
Hi, I'm using a Lenovo G500 laptop with an Intel HD Graphics 2500 built-in card. I want to increase its memory clock speed beyond the default. Currently it's set at 800 MHz and can automatically boost to 1100 MHz. I'd like to raise the RAM clock to 1000 MHz, but I'm unsure how to do that in BIOS. I have Insydeh20 version 3.7 and unlocked some advanced settings. The links provided might help.
The five-year-old laptop was never built with overclocking in mind, which means it simply isn't possible.
It seems there may be a misunderstanding about overclocking capabilities. The inquiry suggests a desire to reach 1000 MHz for RAM, but actual limits depend on hardware specifications and stability.
You can’t speed up the RAM on a laptop, but you can upgrade to better RAM. It won’t really help much with my old laptop that had an HD3000 chip—it barely runs Minecraft well. I’ve boosted my newer laptops’ HD 530 graphics from 1200-1400, but only a small improvement of 2-3 frames per second. That’s not enough to be worth it. I just noticed your graphics is in low power mode. Your best option is to set the graphics to the highest power in BIOS and then enable Windows High Performance mode.
