I own an ASUS motherboard and on the main display I'm unable to turn on D.O.C.P., which prevents me from overclocking the CPU in BIOS, and AMD Overdrive from saving the configurations. The processor is an Intel Athlon X4 870k, and the motherboard model is ASUS A68-HM-Plus.

Most A68 boards feature weak VRMs and only allow modest overclocking (typically just increasing the multiplier, not fine-tuning) to 60W TDP CPUs. The 870K model comes with a 95W chip—even if you try to overclock, it won’t deliver a satisfying experience.

Thanks for the response. I'll just have to wait for the grand comp upgrade.

I'm not sure if it's feasible, but if it is, you could try using a tool named AMD Overdrive from the AMD site (downloads).

Overdrive doesn't retain my preferences when the device powers down.

If it functions even slightly, that's how it operates.
