About six months back I upgraded my setup from 16 to 32 gigabytes of RAM. Being an ITX build, I had to choose a two-pack configuration, which narrowed my choices and pushed up the cost significantly. When I decided to go with a 3200 speed Hyper X Fury kit, I noticed my setup of an H370 board paired with 8700 non-K RAM would cap performance at around 2666MHz. I didn’t dwell much on this until a month ago when I realized the good speed and fair price came at the cost of pretty slow speeds. I’m not too experienced with tuning RAM speeds, and finding helpful guides is tough—most recommendations are for Ryzen models. I’m curious: should I bother adjusting timings on my non-Ryzen system, and if so, where do I begin? Here’s the RAM product page you shared: https://www.umart.com.au/Kingston-HyperX...1349G.html

In a non-game setting, there will be no visible differences. In a gaming context, you could experience a 1-2 FPS boost, and whether it's beneficial depends on your perspective...

Consider Intel options but adjust the clock to 2666MHz. Check latencies beginning with CAS 15 and verify performance at 1.35v. Your Ryzen setup runs at 3600MHz with a 2666MHz memory controller and board clock at 3200MHz.
