I've been attempting, but it doesn't justify the effort. Spending a lot on maintaining an outdated system with no significant benefits compared to other choices.

They modified it some time ago, so now we can discuss it. But I agree with the other users—tonymacx86 and other focused communities are more suitable. If done well, you can achieve excellent outcomes. It does involve a bit of practice, but it’s worth the effort.
