I'm facing a challenge that many PC gamers seem to have—few friends who share the same interest. My brother owns an Xbox 360 and used to play games on it, but I don't really enjoy them. I've always dreamed of hosting a LAN party, yet most of my friends stick to their gaming stations. I think only one of them ever really cared about PC gaming. In fact, he was the one who encouraged me to build my own PC. Anyone know how console gamers transition into PC gaming?

You dismantle their console, give them a slap, and highlight the steam summer promotion.

Start by treating them properly. Honor the consoles. Second, yes, I understand your point. You’re weighing the advantages and disadvantages. If they’re open to it, a PC is fine; if not, don’t push it. Everyone has different tastes. I can work with any controller on a PC, it’s more affordable, and it’ll also function with a TV.

Absolutely supporting @theloveablemoose here. If they're being harsh, they'll probably think the community is terrible and won't play on PC. Just explain why PC is better and let them decide for themselves.

If they show no interest, just move on. You won't stand a chance against someone who doesn't care.

Let individuals enjoy their own choices. Encouraging freedom helps people stay open to friendship. Trying to dictate actions can push them away from you.
