I was attempting to switch the DNS on my Belkin Router to Family Shield DNS, but it didn’t function properly. I connected it to an Eero router to create a separate Wi-Fi network and checked various solutions, including router models and DNS services, but none worked. Could you assist me?

Did you confirm the changes after logging in through the router's admin account and then restart it?

Begin by testing the router using a wired connection. Then, launch cmd.exe and execute ipconfig.exe /all. Check that the router's LAN IP serves as the gateway and DNS addresses.

Good news, it functions now "YAY", but there are issues with Arc or Chrome.
This warning appears: your connection is not private.
Possibly attackers are attempting to steal your data from www.exampleadultsite.com (such as passwords, messages, or credit cards).
Find out more about this alert.
net::ERR_CERT_AUTHORITY_INVALID
However, Edge works perfectly and flags it as blocked.
Can you assist me?
Chrome sometimes works too, and Edge does the same.

They suggest using an ad blocker extension with adjustable settings, like the "family shield" DNS. Sometimes it blocks too many sites and prevents normal websites from loading.

Are the clocks on your router and PC correctly configured, taking into account the time zone?

I would begin with the most basic steps.
Visit the PC network configuration and adjust the DNS IP address manually there. Start with standard options such as 1.1.1.1 and 8.8.8.8. Next, search for the IP addresses of the DNS servers you wish to use and input them.
This approach removes the router’s role in causing unusual errors, focusing solely on the DNS servers.
Once you identify the correct servers, you can configure the router accordingly. This is suitable for devices where manual network settings aren’t feasible.
There are two possibilities. I suggest using only the first method, but I will describe both options.
The first involves accessing the DHCP settings on the router. There’s a configuration that defines the DNS server the router should use for devices.
The second method, unfortunately, is how routers typically operate by default: they assign the IP address to the DNS server, acting as a proxy. They then send requests to the DNS server you set in the main router settings. By default, it uses the ISP’s DNS server. This adds unnecessary complexity and often leads to various unexpected problems. Moreover, it blocks the use of the newer encrypted DNS features that are recommended.

The initial choice lacks any DHCP configuration and mentions no DNS settings, so do you have a different document or page to adjust?
