I need to figure out how to adjust each group's percentage cut based on their contributions, making Group 1 stand out by +5%. I have a spreadsheet with this data, but I'm unsure how to apply the additional 5% for Group 1.

Assuming A2 through A5 represent the remaining portion of the data with values of 100, 200, 150, and 75, A1 is calculated based on these figures. The percentage for A1 reflects 52.5% of the overall total from A1 to A5.

When you refer to 5% more than the rest, do you mean 5% higher than everyone else or 5% greater than one person?
If it's about everyone else, then group1 must account for 52.5% of the total. That means the remaining 47.5% is split among the other three groups, creating a 5% difference overall.

They aim 5% higher than the rest and also target 52.5% and 47.5%. If everyone gets the same, what’s the method for adjusting group 1 to meet those percentages?

Group 1 receives 52.5% of the total. The remaining portion is divided equally among the others.

Sum of groups 2 minus N equals 47.5 percent of X, therefore X is calculated as the sum divided by 47.5 percent. After that, multiplying X by 52.5 percent yields group 1.

You can format the data in your Google Spreadsheet to highlight each group's percentage clearly. This way, it becomes easier to compare and see the distribution at a glance.

I might be confused, but applying that formula in Google Sheets is similar to using it elsewhere—it just works within the spreadsheet interface.
