I’m tired of MS Software Protection. It blocks me from playing games and keeps using about 30% CPU every time a game starts. It crashes or changes the game’s binary even after I switch it off in regedit. It doesn’t seem to work. How can I remove it?

It needs that amount for a good reason. Get malwarebytes, download it, and run it.

Microsoft Software Protection is a Windows Defender scanning tool. It checks your system as part of the maintenance routine. Access it via Start > type: Maintenance > Pick: Security and Maintenance. Click the blue link labeled "change maintenance settings" to expand. Be aware that if it fails, it will attempt to run again. To disable it, consider installing another antivirus to replace Windows Defender. Or allow it to perform the scan.
