How to check why Windows keeps waking itself up?
I know there's a way to do it, but I can't for the life of me remember. Basically my desktop keeps waking itself up out of sleep mode, and I'm not sure why. I know some of the time it's probably doing various updates and not going back to sleep, and sometime waking up input peripherals that just keep providing constant inputs. I recall there was a way to check the logs to see what caused it, but can't recall how. Thank you, Harry Voyager
Open the Start menu, locate Command Prompt, and click right-click. Select "Run as administrator." Execute the command: powercfg -lastwake.
You're welcome. I spotted the first issue: HP Print Doctor was repeatedly activating the system without reason. Let's investigate the remaining background processes.
