How to activate S0 low power idle on W11 24H2?
During my latest build, S3 works but S0 seems unsupported by the system firmware according to powerfcfg /a. My GPU (RX 9070 XT) occasionally crashes when I wake up from sleep, so I can't use S3. This issue probably relates to a driver problem. I'm considering enabling S0 to save power when the PC isn't in use. Also, how do I turn this feature on in Windows 11? I've heard most modern systems should support it, but I'm not sure if it's available on my setup. My motherboard is a Gigabyte Gaming X AX v2, and its manual doesn't mention S0 or S3 sleep modes—only that power LEDs stay on in S0. This makes me think the board does support it, but maybe I need to adjust some BIOS settings. 🤔
Examine the bios to determine if c6 c7 can be disabled. Check its impact on the crashing issue.
