I just put in my 1tb 970 evo plus and plan to use it as my boot disk. I have two choices for setting it up: 1. If I locate my Windows installation media, I’ll wipe my old hard drive (just some passwords and large games that took forever) and install Windows onto my new SSD. 2. I can let Windows recognize the SSD automatically and use the tool on Samsung’s site to move Windows and files over. Which method is better?

Avoid reinstalling and adjusting settings again—option #2 is better. Samsung's utility simplifies the transfer process. Just verify it by booting from the drive instead of trying to access it from another Windows setup. If you're okay with a fresh start or want to reduce complications, choose option #1. I have instructions on locating files and app settings to preserve from your previous Windows installation if needed.

Sure, I can provide the guide. Would you like me to share it now?
