Hi, I'm looking into how much I can overclock the E5700 using only a stock cooler and no fans—just the CPU and PSU fans. Here are my specs: CPU: e5700, GPU: GTX 750 Ti, RAM: 4 GB DDR3, PSU: 400W. Thanks!

The 750Ti performs significantly faster than my HD5770, while my E8400 could only reach about 70% of its speed. The Core2 was excellent when it was new, but it struggles with modern games mainly because it relies on an external memory controller that increases memory access delays.

Mine was able to go up until the point I had to mess with voltage if I remember correctly... That has been a while however. Noone can answer that all you can do is try a speed and check temps. Each chip/setup is different. Remember old child cant get as hot as newer ones... I'd keep it under 70 under load, probably more like 65... You can get decent coolers for $25 bucks if you have a decent sized case

Even after boosting the e5700 to 4GHz, you'd only reach around 50% of the 750Ti's capabilities.

The error indicates that even after overclocking the e5700 to 4GHz, you won't exceed about 50% of the 750Ti's capabilities.
