What memory capacity is suitable for your Athlon 5000+ system? You currently have 4GB RAM, and you recently added a 4GB GT 630. It’s worth considering an upgrade if you plan to sell the PC soon, as adding more RAM can improve performance.

It would be better to skip adding more RAM. If you still wish, consider adding another 4 GB, bringing the total to 8 GB. This makes it simpler to sell later.

Will 8GB be excessive? It depends on your needs. With only 2 slots for RAM, you might struggle to run Minecraft smoothly, especially if you want to use multiple apps like Spotify, Discord, or Chrome. Having 8GB would make things easier and more stable.

4GB of RAM isn’t sufficient for most tasks these days, especially with only two slots available. Spending more won’t pay off; the machine is essentially useless, and you’d be pleased to receive a payment of around fifty dollars.

Winning alone demands a lot of memory. Ten years ago, games needed around 8GB. Today, a gaming PC often needs 16GB just to stay stable. That means about 4GB for the operating system, another 4GB for background apps, 4GB for Chrome, and 8GB for the game itself. Many users install monitoring tools that consume RAM, communication platforms like Discord already use up 500MB, and browsers add more load.
