How much power does Google Chrome use?
Hey, check this picture. When Chrome starts up, it uses about 50% of your CPU power. But once you close it or use Task Manager, everything looks fine because that process is separate from the actual browser. You can't really uninstall Google Chrome easily either. I tried resetting it too. The problem happened before on one computer but went away after a few days. I don't know what's going on here.
Turn off hardware acceleration and stop it from running on your own time. Check if this fixes the problem.
I don't want to use Chrome because Edge uses the same engine as Chromium and is much better. Firefox used to care about privacy but that stopped working years ago. The rest of the browsers are just jokes right now.
Chrome comes from Chromium, but Edge also comes from Chromium. They are different because they do things differently. Think about the old bug where Chrome wouldn't start until you renamed an executable file just to fix it? That didn't happen with Edge. Neither of them had that problem recently either. When every single download says "Virus scan failed" and stops you from downloading anything in Chrome, sure, Edge never did this thing. Stop pretending to be smart; it's not working as intended.
It would be so cool if your smirky smart answer turned out right. I suggest you read up on this pal. Chrome came out in 2008. The code behind it, called Chromium, became open later. Google (the group that makes Chrome) gave away the source code. So, check your facts before calling someone dumb.
Sometimes, fighting over opinions makes forums stronger. But if people start getting angry at each other, it can only get worse. I need to warn you: talk nicely to others. If you don't stop being rude and blaming them personally, I might have to leave this thread behind.
use a program called Glary Utilities to kill all the Chrome tabs that come when you turn on your computer, then tell me what happens after you do this.
