Taobao can help with your issues; their prices are quite reasonable. If you need space, you can display a compact HTPC case and persuade them to let you have something similar.

I haven't used Taobao before, can you walk me through the process? Even with a HTPC PC, they might still complain about it being heavy, and how to bring a monitor along. Yeah, I can help with CSGO and L4D2 too—they’re not really interested.

The issue is unclear about transporting the PC and monitor back home or to college during breaks. Any suggestions? Edit: It seems we might need to shift this discussion elsewhere, maybe to a different thread.

You need to create an account on both Taobao and Alipay (China PayPal). For payments, you can choose credit cards, Enets (you might still have it), or top up with a prepaid code if available. Enter your shipping address before purchasing. During checkout, you can opt for Taobao’s direct shipping or have them send it to a third-party carrier. With the carrier, you can wait for all items to arrive (free 20 days) before instructing them to ship again.

To assist with a SFF PC or persuade your parents, share your own thread. Otherwise, I’m happy to stay off-topic.

A compact HTPC similar to a fractal node 202 should be portable enough for a backpack or luggage. Look for a slim 1080p display that fits comfortably in such a setup.

You can find helpful resources on Google. It's a good idea since you've noticed your existing sites.

The differences lie in how each chip handles multi-core usage and performance under load. The i3 series generally offers better efficiency and stability with fewer bottlenecks, while the Haswell i3 (4160) might struggle more under heavy multi-core demands despite gains in speed and power efficiency.
