I placed an order for a new computer after about a year of saving and using my laptop. After some consideration and assistance from the community, I chose the build at https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/list/xyKrf8. It features an RX 580 4GB GPU and a Ryzen 1400 CPU. My power supply is only 450W (bronze), which makes me concerned about whether it was sufficient. Overclocking isn’t essential for me, though it would be helpful. With these specifications, I’m unsure how much overclocking is possible, especially since I only have the stock cooler and a 450W PSU. I’m wondering if there’s a safe level that minimizes the risk of damaging my hardware. Thank you for taking the time to read this.

It's best to avoid pushing the GPU beyond its limits. This new GPU is among the most power-hungry on the market, making it a poor choice for overclocking. Ryzen reaches its maximum at around 3.9-4.0Ghz, but you'll need a top-tier cooler and motherboard. Also, 1400 MHz isn't ideal for overclocking either.

BigBoomBoom :
It's best not to push the GPU beyond its limits. This new GPU is already power-hungry, and it's essentially a heavily overclocked RX 480.
Ryzen reaches its maximum at around 3.9-4.0Ghz, but you'll need a top-tier cooler and a good motherboard. I also heard that the 1400 chip isn't ideal for overclocking either.
Still, is it possible to bring it down to about 3.5Ghz with what you have?
