Right now I’m using a 650w Bronze PSU and considering a full custom loop soon. My 360mm AIO and Strix 1080 both have decent overclocking but my GPU is overheating a lot. I’m thinking about going for a custom loop but I’m a bit concerned about pushing my PSU too much.
Using CPU and GPU overclocking requires a powerful 600W power supply or more.
The required PSU is mainly controlled by the graphics card. A 650w should suffice for a GTX1080. Your GPU temperature under load is around 80°C, which is typical for a graphics card. Your case has a very good design with three 120mm front fans, which should provide adequate cooling unless the additional six fans are affecting performance. One concern is the cooler radiator mounting method. For optimal CPU cooling, position the radiator to draw in fresh air. However, this can increase heat on the motherboard and push hot air toward the graphics card. Exchanging it for a radiator that exhausts air would be better, though it may not be ideal for CPU cooling. A tailored setup could work better but might still face similar challenges. Your case supports high-performance air coolers such as the Noctua NH-D15s. These will maintain similar cooling levels, offer quieter operation, greater reliability, and no leaks. If you need improved airflow, consider swapping the front 120mm fans for higher-speed models or adding two larger 140mm front fans.
