So I'm looking to connect more fans to my Asus Prime Z690-P header. I'm a bit new to this setup. I found one connector with three splits, but I need more fans. How can I do this safely without damaging anything? It seems the product listing shows three fans on the Rad side—one for the case, but I’m not sure why the case doesn’t have more 120mm fans. Only one spot is available for the CPU fan, and they used a splitter from it for the case and three Rad fans. There’s only one open slot for the CHA fan. I’m not sure if that’s correct, but it seems odd. The case is a Bitspower Touchaqua Titan One 1.2 Lian Li O11D dual chamber. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Each fan header on the MB can deliver around 1A of 12V power, which is sufficient for three 120/140mm fans using just a splitter or an unpowered hub. For higher loads you’d need a powered fan hub, allowing you to add as many fans as desired. Each unit has its own specs, so you can determine the required power yourself. It’s crucial that all fans on one MB header match in type (3pin or 4pin PVM), speed, and ideally perform similarly.

I'll need to purchase additional fans, there are two different brands on one header.

I believe I require additional fans because they increase noise levels and costs without guaranteeing improved cooling performance.

Bitspower Touchaqua Titan One 1.2 Lian Li O11D dual chamber case. No concern about noise during gameplay. When ordered from CyberPWR, they mentioned adding more fans but the model didn’t have them. I didn’t want to return it and wait another four weeks for a replacement.

Whether you still need the same type of fans depends on the specific setup. If the Rad model includes three identical fans, using three distinct fans for the case isn't necessary.

Yes, all fans managed from a single location must remain identical since they cannot be handled separately.
