This setup is already in a prebuilt I use on my PC now.
It runs an Intel i7-2600, ECS H61H2-M2, 16GB DDR3-1333, GTX 960 with 2GB RAM, NZXT H510i, Samsung 850 EVO 256GB, WD red Pro 4.0tb 7200rpm.
The PSU is quite old and should be replaced soon, but I’m on a tight budget and want to know if it could last another three months or so.
I use it about three hours a day for work and a bit of gaming.
I understand this isn’t an accurate prediction, but the HDD that replaced the original around 2014 lasted about 475 days and 10 hours.
How long should it realistically last?

The quality of the PSU is truly its best. It isn't a 700W model as advertised; at most, it's around 450W, which matches what the +12V rail can handle. However, even that performance drops significantly when the temperature exceeds 25°C. Anything above that reduces the output further. I also came across an old discussion about this PSU: https://forums. This made me reconsider my earlier expectations. The unit seems to fail immediately after powering up, likely damaging connected devices like your entire PC.

Alpine produces speakers and audio gear. Are you confident you typed the name right? There are no matches found on Google. Please take a photo of the PSU label and post it online, for example at www.imgur.com, then share it here.

Sorry, the spelling seems incorrect. It should be JSP-700P12N.

The quality of this power supply is truly its best. It isn't a 700W model as advertised; at most it delivers around 450W, considering the +12V rail limits. But even that only works reliably when the temperature is around 25°C. Above that, the output drops significantly. I also came across an old discussion about this PSU: https://forums. Based on this, I need to rethink my expectations. It fails immediately after powering it up and could damage connected devices, including your entire PC. Right now you have a solid ATX PSU—just plug it in and see how much more you can handle before things go wrong. If you really want to take the risk, consider replacing it soon.
