I've just set up my new trident z rgb 3600 and noticed some freezing restarts. I ran memtest 86 to check, which has four passes. I'm curious about the recommended number of passes and how long each should take to ensure my RAM is healthy.

4 works adequately, though 1 tends to miss many mistakes.

I typically execute the complete test in a continuous loop during the night.

BSOD might also result from the board failing to manage RAM. If the RAM sticks aren't in the correct slots, try using a lower MHz setting.

Sorry, that info isn't on the qvl. My spec is a gigabyte z370m.

The spec mentions 4000mhz support, but it doesn’t guarantee RAM compatibility. It could still be limited by the RAM type or speed.

Your ASRock B450M Pro4 lists 3200MHz+ but still maxes out around 2933MHz when paired with G.Skill. (ASRock + G.Skill didn’t work well)
