How is Warframe?
Let's get straight to the point before anyone gets excited about the "pay-to-win" idea. Warframe is really about diving in, completing missions, and enjoying the action. It’s also about gathering resources from different planets. You earn credits by finishing tasks, which you can then spend on blueprints—like a weapon blueprint. Once you buy it, you use collected resources to craft the item. If you need more, you’ll have to scavenge for what you need.
If you want a character blueprint, you’ll need to defeat certain bosses repeatedly to obtain the necessary components. For example, on Venus, you might find parts for a rhino character. You don’t choose which pieces you collect; there are four parts in total—helmet, system, chassis, and the last one is missing from your list. Each time you complete it, you get one piece guaranteed.
This process focuses on collecting resources and assembling gear. While building takes time—sometimes a character can take up to 72 hours—it’s rewarding once you have something new.
Now, about spending real money: you can buy platinum, which is useful for purchasing additional weapons or characters. Platinum helps you acquire mods and parts from traders. However, most players don’t do this directly because the core gameplay revolves around earning through missions rather than spending upfront. The main goal remains gathering resources to craft what you want, using both earned credits and in-game currency.
