The laptop loads quickly, around 2 seconds for the splash screen and 12 seconds for the login. It runs on DDR5-4800 RAM with Windows 11 Home installed.

Vanilla Arch Linux with 12700KF and MSI Z690 Edge Wi-Fi boots in about 10 seconds, quite fast. I could tweak it for speed by turning off the grub timer, though I don’t think it’s essential.

In 52 seconds after pressing the button, the lock screen appears, matching @GuiltySpark_'s stress board boot time with my MSI data points closely aligning to the graph.

It was my X670E system when Zen4 launched in October 2022. Numerous BIOS updates have occurred since then, causing significant changes. Is your board equipped with a POST code display to confirm memory training occurs on each boot? Should Memory Context Restore be activated?

Training in memory management is underway, I accept the added delay, though I’m focused on LED diagnostics on my board. My system runs a BIOS older than most recent versions—MSI encountered problems where certain BIOS versions blocked the M.2_2 slot. I haven’t verified if an updated BIOS with working M.2 support exists; my current model is from mid-October 2023, which should still work. I also haven’t tried enabling memory context restore in BIOS, but this has inspired me to finally do it.

Correcting this would benefit many people.

I didn’t mind much at all, so there was no need to shut it down. This time it took about 24.5 seconds.

Turned it off again, then froze once and had a BSOD two times after rebooting.
