You bought a Windows 7 Ultimate OEM key from Kinguin—can you use that as a genuine key? Also, I’m looking for a clear guide on how to locate and install the Windows 7 Ultimate OEM ISO onto a USB drive. I’ve tried various methods but keep getting stuck.

Do you need the specifications? For an ASUS MOBO, ensure the Driver CD is removed or retry a few times. These motherboards sometimes face problems like this.

That mistake happened a while back on the retired 2500k rig. The issue was I was attempting to use a USB 3.0 device to install Windows, but Windows 7 didn’t include USB3 support by default. When I switched to an older USB 2.0 drive, it functioned properly. Could this be your situation?

As Mooshi noted, the warning shows up when attempting to install Windows 7 using USB 3.0 without first installing the necessary drivers on the Windows 7 installer. Windows 7 doesn’t come with built-in USB 3.0 support, but you can add drivers to the installation media.
