I use a little Dawn detergent mixed with water. Dip a microfiber cloth in, squeeze out excess, and wipe the surface. Rinse thoroughly with clean water, then gently pat dry before finishing.

I don't think there is mold in the devices. I just went and took a look at it and there is a ton of dust though.

Regarding the walfort wipes for lens, I tested them recently at my old apartment. They effectively removed dust from the monitor sides and cleaned the screen well. Since I don’t have a vacuum, they worked nicely in that situation.

It broke down around 3 to 4 years ago. The batteries are no longer functional and should be replaced. I plan to use it only as a surge protector, similar to how I did before. However, I don’t want to discard the UPS entirely since I realized that purchasing new batteries would be necessary. I’d need two batteries for this unit to make it work.

I went to the apartment to inspect my old monitors and the UPS. The two screens I own have a bit of dust on them. The sides and backs are particularly grimy, and even the cable cords are covered in dust. I do have a pack of these wet wipes for lenses that you use on glasses, but I used them on my monitors before without any problems. I applied two wipes to clean the screen and a small amount on the sides where dust accumulated, effectively removing it. Now the back of the monitors is covered in a lot of dust. Would using these wipes be advisable? They claim to be anti-static, which would be helpful here. I still have around eight of these wipes left. They worked well before, clearing a significant amount of dust from each screen. Should I try them on the back of the monitor where there’s a lot of grime? They leave little residue as well. I also have regular wet wipes and Lysol wipes, but I’m not sure if those would be suitable. https://www.amazon.com.mx/Walfort-Toalli...3d1974080c

On the UPS, there isn’t any mold visible. But it’s extremely dusty, especially on the left and right sides where a paper towel wiped away pushed some dust inside. That’s not ideal. I tried using a paper towel to clear it out, but much of it slipped back in. Should I vacuum it or use a hair dryer? So, these Walfort wipes for lenses don’t seem suitable for this situation? The main concern is bringing the UPS into another apartment—could dust from inside affect the place? It’s just dust, right?

It’s generally okay to move the UPS, but keep in mind dust can affect performance. Wipe the exterior with a paper towel and lens wipes, but avoid using the vents unless you’re certain they’re clean.

Yes! It's just dusty, as long as there is no mold it's fine. Dude, wipe it with anything you want. You're being incredibly weird about this, you can clean things with almost anything. I spray Windex directly on my TV and monitors, while they are on even.

Thanks for your message. If mold is present, it should be obvious. Wiping with those walfort wipes can help remove dust without risking damage. Avoid using anything wet on the exterior vents—it’s best to wait until you’re sure. Regarding cleaning solutions, 70% isopropyl alcohol and Lysol wipes are both safe options. Just be cautious and handle them carefully to prevent introducing contaminants into the new apartment.

Others can verify if it's acceptable to bring the UPS into a new apartment despite dust inside.
