This might not require deep troubleshooting, just a bit of confusion about how everything connects. I own a Montech Air 100 ARGB case with four built-in fans connected via a fan hub or controller—though I’m not entirely sure which term fits best. I’ve included a photo of the hub showing two cables: one for power (SATA) and another for the ARGB signal (motherboard). I’m puzzled because there’s no direct link to a case fan header, so how do the fans get controlled? I notice a few 3-pin ports without cables—should I buy separate fan cables to attach them and connect to the motherboard? The manual hasn’t helped much, and this isn’t something covered in the Last Guide You’ll Ever Need video. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

It seems to be an RGB controller, not a fan hub with an RGB controller.

The broad connector is inserted into a SATA power connector, while the compact unit with three holes connects to the motherboard's ARGB header. This hub manages addressable RGB lighting but does not control fan speed. A separate hub is required for that function. The vacant connectors on the hub allow additional fans to be attached, but they should not be linked to the motherboard. As noted on the product page, the included fans each have a 3-pin fan connector and must be placed in the motherboard or a compatible hub.
